Description

The Falher-Girouxville Road (Twp Rd 782) is a busy arterial gravel roadway within the Municipal District of Smoky River No. 130. High traffic volumes, with a high proportion attributed to heavy trucks, have led to escalating maintenance costs (annual or semi-annual regravelling, frequent blading, calcium etc.) as well as dust concerns from residents and motorists.

The MD of Smoky River aims to mitigate or alleviate these issues with a roadway stabilization and surfacing project. This project will benefit the MD by lowering maintenance cost for this road.
