Description

Tenders are invited for the North Delta Recreation Centre Dehumidification Systems Replacement.

The work generally consists of the replacement of the dehumidification system for a curling rink and dehumidification system for an ice rink at the North Delta Recreation Centre. Associated electrical upgrades and structural upgrades as indicated on the tender drawings will form part of this contract. The existing dehumidification unit and platform in the curling rink are to be decommissioned, removed and disposed offsite. The dehumidification units in the ice rink are to be decommissioned, removed and disposed offsite. Platforms for the existing units in the ice rink shall remain as is.

During construction, the curling rink and ice rink area will remain operational after 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. A thorough clean-up of the work area is expected at the end of each work day such that both rinks can be used for intended programs. Any cost incurred by the City of Delta to provide a clean and safe environment for the intended programs after 5:00pm of each work day shall be borne by the Contractor.

It is envisioned that the Contractor will commence work at the curling rink first as the curling rink has priority over the ice rink and that all interior work be completed by June 12, 2020 to accommodate day camps scheduled for this summer.

All work within this contract, including testing and commissioning, must be completed by August 1, 2020.

Clearance of Police Information Check is required for all personnel working on this Contract prior to commencement of any work onsite.
