Description

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (Regional District) is requesting submission of proposals from qualified proponents to complete an inundation study, review and update the 2010 Dam Safety Reviews, operations and emergency plans for each of the Naramata dams; Big Meadow Lake Dam, Naramata Lake Dam, Elinor Lake South Dam, and Elinor Lake North Dam. The Regional District also operates two creek intakes with weirs downstream of the dams, which can be used as a secondary source of water during emergencies. The successful proponent shall undertake a comprehensive review of the existing information and data, and perform site investigations for each of the dams. The final reports must be submitted to the Ministry of Environment before the end of 2020. The Proponent will be expected to work with the Regional District and the Ministry of Environment and any other identified stakeholders to ensure all requirements of the review have been met prior to finalizing the report.
