2020-06 - 2020 Asphalt Crack Sealing Program

The Town of Stony Plain is seeking a Contractor for the 2020 Asphalt Crack Sealing Program.
The work shall include site preparation, cleaning an applying approximately 13 tonnes cold-poured rubberized crack sealant to cracks in asphaltic concrete mates, joints, and areas adjacent to structures or areas identified in the maps attached.
The Contractor shall furnish all labour, equipment, vehicles, tools, signs, materials, traffic control measures and Supervision necessary for the completion of the work. Required products are:
o PPE
o Temporary detours, signs, and barricades
o Trained and competent flag persons
o All water, light and power and gas necessary for the execution of the work
o Sealant, dusting sand
Special care is required to avoid the unnecessary spread of crack sealing material during pouring and until the sealant has cured. Use of blotting sand and traffic control necessary to prevent vehicle and pedestrian tracking is a requirement.
The Contractor is to ensure workers are properly skilled and adequately protected with the proper safety equipment for product handling and street work. Contractors are responsible for notifying Utility Companies, department or persons to obtain operation restrictions of the site(s).
