Description

The Town of Fort Frances is seeking proposals from “Qualified Persons” as defined under the Environmental Protection Act (Part XV.1) to conduct a study to submit proposals for the preparation of a comprehensive long-range waste management plan to ensure that adequate waste management capacity is available for Town of Fort Frances's citizens until at least 2060. For the purposes of this proposal, consultants should anticipate providing services relating to the following broad activities: 1) Review Existing Documents and Work Completed to Date 2) Assess Town of Fort Frances's Current and FutureRequirements 3) Develop Alternative Methods of Meeting Future Demands 4) Build Operating and Financial Models for the Alternative Service DeliveryMethods 5) Develop Transition and Closure plan for existing Landfill site 6) Evaluate Alternatives and Select a Preferred Method (or Methods) of WasteManagement 7) Prepare Terms of Reference for Plan Components Requiring Approval Under the Environmental Assessment Act 8) Complete the Required Environmental Assessments and Obtain Approval from The Ministry of The Environment as required under the Enviro
