Description

This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by Peace River Regional District ("PRRD") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Invasive Plant Management Area Controller

The Peace River Regional District (Regional District) invites proposals from persons and companies specializing in invasive plant management who are interested in becoming the Regional District's Area Controller. The Area Controller will manage all infrastructure within the Regional District for both vegetation control and invasive plant management and must be available to conduct noxious weed and invasive plant management treatments on private land and other jurisdictions where Weed Control Notices have been issued through the authority granted in the Weed Control Act.
The Regional District will depend on the Area Controller to work with the Invasive Plant Program Manager, and any assistants, to identify infestations within its boundaries, to provide support in determining management plans for infestations and to attend meetings focused on invasive plants and noxious weeds when requested.
Proponents are encouraged to describe their proposed control strategies, identify scheduling challenges and illustrate prioritization criteria to ensure that works are completed in a timely manner.

Successful proponent will report directly to the Regional District's Environmental Services Manager.
