The University is conducting this Negotiated Request for Proposals (â€œNRFPâ€�) to invite Proposals for a central storage solution to support the delivery of all core IT services on campus. This NRFP is issued on behalf of the department of IT Services. There are two components to the storage solution: a storage area network (SAN) and a Network Access Server (NAS). Respondents may choose to respond to the SAN only, the NAS only, or both.

The University requires a replacement central storage solution to support both high and low demand applications. Requirements vary from low latency, high transnational loads (ERP, virtual infrastructure), to longer term, low access data storage (unstructured file storage). Hyper-V, VMWare, and Oracle VM hypervisor workloads should be considered as well as primary storage for Oracle databases.
