The County of Minburn No. 27 invites Requests for Proposals for their 2020 Gravel Hauling from various County gravel stockpiles to various roads located within the County during the 2020 gravel hauling season which is defined as the period from May 1 to August 31, 2020.
The County may, at its discretion, extend the length of the gravel hauling season. Depending on weather the County may commence winter gravel hauling. The Proposals shall be for a one year contract with the option to renew the contract for the 2021 hauling season.
The work involves approximately 125,000 metric tonnes spread over approximately 550 to 600 miles with an average haul mile of 14-20 miles per trip. The contractor will be required to provide qualified personnel and equipment necessary to complete the work. A working knowledge of the County of Minburn will be considered an asset and the County may give preference to those proposals that have their own dedicated radio communications channel in all vehicles and equipment.
Each Proposal shall be addressed to the County of Minburn No. 27 in a sealed envelope clearly marked "2020 Gravel Hauling Proposal." Proposals shall be received at the County office located at Box 550, 4909-50 Street, Vegreville, AB T9C 1R6 by 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2020.
