To Whom It May Concern:

Clearwater County invites sealed tenders for the following vehicles which are being purchased for 2020. Please fill out the attached Specification sheets listed as “Schedule A”.

Two (2) New 2020 1500 Extended Cabs
One (1) New 2020 1500 Crew Cab
One (1) New 2020 3500 Crew Cab Chassis DRW

All sealed tenders must be submitted by 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2020.

Clearly mark on the outside of the sealed envelope; TENDER PERTAINING TO 2020 VEHICLES, ATTENTION: SCOTT BRETTELLE, FLEET SUPERVISOR. ALSO INCLUDE COMPANY NAME AND CONTACT INFORMATION. ** FAXED AND E-MAIL SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED **

* The attached Standards are minimum standards and the bidder is required to include all costs to have the vehicles meet these standards. *
The bidder understands that Clearwater County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders and to waive irregularities and informalities at its discretion. The County reserves the right to accept a tender other than the lowest tender without stating reasons. By the act of submitting its bid, the bidder waives any right to contest in any legal proceeding or action the right of the County to award the work to whomever it chooses, in its sole and unfettered discretion, and for whatever reasons the County deems appropriate. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the municipality may consider any other factor besides price and capability to perform the work that it deems in its sole discretion to be relevant to its decision including but not limited to the following:

1. Any experience with the Bidder, or lack thereof;
2. Price;
3. Fuel consumption – past experience;
4. Delivery time;
5. Rated fuel consumption;
6. The results of any reference check done by the County; and
7. Information relating to the financial state of the Bidder, however obtained.
