Description

Island Health is seeking proposals from community-based providers to provide overdose prevention services (OPS) in Campbell River through a fixed location-based model or through an outreach-based model, or through a combination of both fixed and outreach models, with services delivered within the British Columbia Overdose Prevention Services Guidelines and within easy access of the downtown area of the City of Campbell River. Referral services including to treatment within the mental health and substance use service continuum will be part of this service. OPS should be low barrier, person-centred, and recovery-oriented, and offer a trauma-informed, culturally safe and supportive environment. Services should be aligned with the BC Centre for Disease Control "BC Overdose Prevention Services Guide".
