933966 - Emergency Communications Centre Internet Protocol Call Handling Solution

The City of Edmonton (the “City�) invites proponents to submit Proposals for an Emergency Communications Centre Internet Protocol Call Handling Solution for the provision, implementation, maintenance and support and professional services of an Emergency Communications Centre IP Call Handling solution. The Emergency Communications Centre IP Call Handling Solution will support call taking of emergency and non�emergency calls for the Edmonton Police Service and the Edmonton Fire Rescue Service (EFRS) Emergency Communication Centres. Both EPS and EFRS are held to the Alberta provincial 9�1�1 standards and as such we must be capable of answering a call passed to our Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) at any time of the 24 x 7 x 365 operating hours. Edmonton 9�1�1 will consider system delivery and support models that would appropriately meet Edmonton 9�1�1’s requirements, from fully delivered and installed on�site, to fully hosted and managed off�site, or a combination of installed and managed components. Either a cloud based, or on�premise solution would be acceptable. This project is a joint initiative between EPS and EFRS and will provide more opportunities for collaboration between the two agencies. It is also expected to introduce cost savings and efficiencies for the City of Edmonton with the purchase of a single solution that supports both organizations.
