21TDRAFD242 - HEC Capable Intermediate Helicopter Request for Proposals

For the primary purpose of wildfire suppression, the Wildfire Management Branch of Alberta Agriculture and Forestry requires the services of one (1) Human External Cargo (HEC) capable intermediate helicopter with a minimum takeoff weight with external load of 2,600 kg. The helicopter shall also have the ability to carry no less than five (5) forward facing passengers, and be able to deliver fire suppressants to a wildfire. The aircraft will be primarily positioned in the Slave Lake Wildfire Management Area. The aircraft will be positioned as required throughout the Province of Alberta and may be exported outside the Province if required. The aircraft may be repositioned with minimal notice and for indefinite periods of time. The Wildfire Management Branch will guarantee a minimum of 100 days. There are no guaranteed flying hours during the core period.
