Description

The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGCS) plays an important role in delivering efficient, high-quality services to the people and Government of Ontario.

Through the Information, Storage & Retrieval (IS&R) unit within the Information, Privacy and Archives (IPA) division, the Ministry provides storage, access and related services for semi-active records. The IS&R unit also provides services related to the disposition of semi-active records once records have completed their retention requirements. These services allow Government of Ontario Ministries and designated agencies to fulfill their recordkeeping obligations under the Archives and Recordkeeping Act, 2006.

The Confidential Record Collection Service provides secure delivery and controlled courier services of government records from Government of Ontario Ministries and designated agencies to third-party vendor warehouses managed by IS&R.

The purpose of this RFB is to identify one Vendor to provide confidential collection and transportation services for the following service areas: (i) Within the Transportation Boundary; and (ii) Outside the Transportation Boundary.

The Vendor is to receive and schedule orders from the Ministry, collect, transport and deliver Box(es) of records from a Client to a Record Centre, from a Record Centre to a Record Centre, from a Record Centre to a Client and from a Client to a Client. The service will be required on a consistent and regular basis within the Transportation Boundary and Outside of the Transportation Boundary. The Vender will provide the equipment, labour, and services necessary for the collection, transportation, and delivery of Records.
