PURPOSE / SCOPE OF WORK:
The City is seeking to engage the services of a commercial tire service shop to provide on-site and off-site tire services for the City of Moncton's fleet of commercial vehicles, ranging in size from passenger vehicles and light trucks, to heavy equipment such as graders, front-end loaders, and street sweepers.
The City of Moncton requires various tire services to promote the maximum operational effectiveness for its fleet of two hundred and eighty-seven (287) vehicles on a twenty-four (24) hour, seven (7) days a week basis.
Under the scope of this agreement, the successful Bidder shall furnish all labour, materials, equipment, tools, commercial tire-servicing facilities, diagnostic equipment, specialized equipment / tools, shop supplies, and any incidentals required to provide tire mounting, dismounting, and installation services (including re-torques), tire flat repairs (including patching), tire rotations (including re-torques), tire balancing, and tire alignment services for various types of City-operated fleet
vehicles.
PROPOSED CONTRACT TERM:
The proposed term of this agreement shall be for a twenty-four (24) month period. The City may exercise an option to renew the agreement for up to three (3) additional twelve (12) month periods, if it is in the City's best interest to do so.
GUARANTEED HOURS OF WORK / CONTRACT DOLLAR VALUE:
The estimated value of this agreement is approximately $145,000 per year (including H.S.T. @ 15%), but should NOT be construed as representing a guaranteed annual contract value.
The City of Moncton does NOT guarantee a minimum amount of labour hours, quantities, or a minimum contract dollar value to the successful Supplier(s) in relation to the performance of this Contract. QUOTED PRICES BASED ON MINIMUM ORDER DOLLAR VALUES, QUANTITIES OF SERVICES, OR LABOUR HOURS SHALL BE REJECTED.
