TF 02-19-727 - PARCEL LOCKER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

McMaster University invites qualified proponents to submit proposals for the supply of an incoming package solution as defined in the document.
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from various proponents of parcel locker management systems for McMaster University Residence buildings and source out the most effective solution and value for the purchase of two (2) parcel locker units. A suitable solution will also include maintenance service and technical support. The ideal parcel locker management system should be user-friendly and include many other accessibility features. 
 
The current process of all incoming mail and packages for Residence students goes through the Central Mail Services location, and then delivered to two Residence Service Desk locations. These Service Desks locations on campus provide service to approximately 3,500 students currently living on campus with this growing to 4,000 students by fall of 2019.

• Parcel locker system must be weather-resistant, vandal-resistant, high quality, durable in design, strength, and appearance.
• Parcel locker system should be modular and expandable for future growth.
• Parcel lockers must be available in various sizes for different size parcels.
• Parcel locker system must be flexible and allow for future expansion, as required.
• Parcel locker system and user interface must be user-friendly complete with accessibility features (i.e. per AODA – Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act)
• Available lighting options preferred.
• Parcel locker management system security features, such as cameras, user identification, encryption, etc. is required.
• Locker system communications to users must consist of emails and text messaging for retrieval notifications.
• Maintenance service response time must be 24-hour maximum to minimize downtime for users.
• Technical support response time must be 1-2 hours maximum to minimize downtime for users.
•  Analytics and activity reporting features (standard and customizable reports) must be available.
