Description:
York University (“York”) is soliciting supplier pre-qualification submissions from professional firms that wish to participate in future projects.
York intends to pre-qualify Engineering/Professional firms under the following categories:

Building Science (Envelope)
Electrical
Mechanical
Structural
Environmental Consultants

Selected proponents will be invited to bid on various projects pertaining to each specific category. Projects may entail interior renovations, alterations, in fills, additions, mechanical, electrical, building science envelope, or similar type projects with project budgets up to two million ($2,000,000.00) excluding applicable taxes. RFSQ submissions will only be accepted from Engineering/Professional firms licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario.
The list of pre-qualified Proponents will remain in effect from the date of award for a period of twelve (12) months, with two (2) optional twelve (12) month extensions.
York intends to pre-qualify up to Eight (8) Proponents per category for the following categories:

Building Science (Envelope)
Environmental Consultant

York intents to pre-qualify up to fifteen (15) Proponents per category for the following categories:

Mechanical
Electrical

York intends to pre-qualify the number of Proponents as specified above for each category. However, York at its sole discretion may increase or decrease these numbers based on the number of qualified submissions.
Proponents per category are to establish a roster of Vendor of Record (“VOR”) for project requirements in the future. Pre-qualified Proponents will be contacted on an as-required basis to provide solutions for specific projects.
Proponents interested in this opportunity are required to submit the requested documents as outlined in Section 2.0 - Submission Requirements, detailing their demonstrated ability and experience.
The evaluation of Proposals will be based on the overall demonstrated experience of the organization and in accordance with the criteria set out in Section 3.0 - Evaluation Process.
York will only consider Proposal submissions received from Proponents who have registered with MERX (www.MERX.com) for this competitive bid. Proposal submissions from Proponents who have not registered and obtained this Bid Document directly from MERX will be disqualified.

York will NOT accept hard copy Proposals.
