2018-36A-T-7114 - Mechanical Upgrades

This bid opportunity is open to all interested suppliers.
Manitoba Housing requires the services of a Contractor for mechanical upgrades to an 11 storey apartment building. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing roof mounted booster fans; modifications to existing roof top HRV and ductwork; installation of new exhaust fans and related ductwork within bulkheads, exterior wall louvers and interior grilles, power wiring and circuit for new exhaust fans; cap existing power wiring for removal of mechanical equipment; removal and replacement of gypsum board bulkheads, gypsum board openings in existing walls and fire rated shafts, patching and painting; new penetrations through existing exterior brick veneer wall to accommodate new mechanical louvers.
The contractor will be expected to manage all trades on site required to complete the full scope of work.
Work site location will be partially occupied during construction.
Approximate budget for the project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for October 4, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at 248 8th St., Brandon, MB.
Deadline for questions is October 10, 2018. All questions must be submitted to the Contract Administrator at nicole.doherty@gov.mb.ca.
Deadline for "Requests for Equals" is 10 days before the submission deadline. Anyone wishing to submit a request for equal must complete the form on the website www.gov.mb.ca/housing/mh/business/procurement.html and submit to the project manager at dale.fries@gov.mb.ca. The form must be completed in its entirety or may be rejected.
Bid submission deadline is October 17, 2018 at 2:00:00 P.M. This is an ebid submission and all bids must be uploaded through MERX. No other form of submission is accepted for this tender.
