Request for Information No. 01318-86365-I01 Retreaded Tires for Transit Bus Vehicles
Requirement:
The Transit Operations Branch (OC Transpo) of the Transportation Services Department of the City of Ottawa is seeking information from qualified Vendors with expertise and experience in retreading tires for transit bus vehicles.
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is:

To request that qualified suppliers interested in the Retreading of Tire Casings for the Bus Fleet Program propose products that could meet the OC Transpo’s requirements for retreading tires for transit bus vehicles.
To request information from the supplier community in order to refine the requirements, scope of work, work processes and specifications for the retreading tire program.
To provide the supplier community with an opportunity to review the draft requirements, scope of work, work processes, and specifications, and to provide comments thereon.
To seek Vendor Information Sessions / meetings / teleconferences with organizations with the ability to provide solutions for the work contemplated in this RFI.
To conduct road tests on Vendors’ proposed retreaded tire products on OC Transpo transits buses for approximately one (1) year.

This RFI is intended to solicit information only. The preparation and issuance of this RFI is not part of a procurement process at this time and is not intended to create any legal obligations between the Respondents and the City. This RFI is solely intended to confirm the strategic direction for a future procurement process.

Submissions or written responses to this RFI (one (1) electronic version in an email in .pdf or MS-Word format) will be received by City prior to the end of business day on Monday, 29 January 2018.
