Scope of Work

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Audio Video Technology Unit with Facilities Section is working to expand the capability of the Prisoner Monitoring and Recording System into Phase 2 areas (dedicated prisoner processing areas) and (Interview Rooms). This project will extend the Milestone DVR System to include hard & soft interview rooms, Secure Function Area, Fingerprint and Breath Areas, Constable areas and other corresponding areas. Consultant may have to include any owner supplied equipment in design as itemized by OPP (small inventory list to be used). The project is sponsored and funded by Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services (MCSCS).

Construction will be approximately 4 months to complete. The 36 detachments requiring minimal upgrades all must be completed prior to March 30, 2018. Construction for each of the 6 detachments requiring a full AV upgrade is scheduled for 4 days, followed by an OPP I.T. representative to complete 1 day of software and camera connections. The OPP I.T. department can only provide limited resources available for this program. Due to resource constraints there may be a maximum number of detachments that can be concurrently completed any given week. This limitation will be confirmed at time of tender award. Contractor cannot plan work adjacent to long weekends/holidays as the detachments need to remain uninterrupted during these periods. The program will take 4 months to complete all detachments with substantial performance in May 2018.
