Description:
York is inviting established Proponents for inspection, maintenance and replacement of the fusible link operated fire dampers (excluding air balance dampers and motorized modulating dampers) in twenty two (22) residences on Keele Campus located at 4700 Keele Street, Toronto and two (2) residences on Glendon Campus located at 2750 Bayview Avenue, Toronto.

Conditions for Participation:

The Proponents must be an authorized and/or licensed company able to certify fire alarm systems in Ontario and have the capability and licensed workforce to for inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of fire smoke and fire/smoke dampers.
The Selected Proponent shall be responsible for inspection, testing, maintenance and repair as required by applicable law and regulatory agencies of all fire dampers. The work requires special skill and shall be carried out by qualified person trained and certified by the original equipment manufacturer or authorized dealer or recognized by Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association Inc. (“SMACNA”).

This procurement is covered by Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.

Delivery Date:
Start work within two weeks of contract award notice, the contract is anticipated to be awarded in November 2017.

Duration of Agreement:
The initial term of the Agreement shall be for twelve (12) months, with four (4) optional twelve (12) month extensions. All prices shall be net, firm and not negotiable for the initial twelve (12) months.

At the end of the evaluation process, York University may identify one or more Proponents with whom it wishes to enter into negotiations, by written notification.
