DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK
INTAKE AND TAILRACE DECK SEALS REPLACEMENT - KELSEY, KETTLE AND LONG SPRUCE GENERATING STATIONS
Manitoba Hydro is issuing this Request to seek the submission of competitive Proposals for replacement of existing intake and tailrace deck seals at Kelsey, Kettle and Long Spruce Generating Stations and assemblies at all existing expansion and control joints. Scope of the Work includes all labour, materials, and equipment necessary for all supply, installation, modification, and replacement needed for completion of the Work.

All proposals must meet all of the following criteria, in Manitoba Hydro’s determination, in order to proceed to the second stage of the evaluation process:

a)The organization that will perform the welding must be approved by the CWB under the requirements of CSA-W47.1, division 1 or 2.1 only.
b)The organization that will undertake the weld inspection(s) must be fully approved by the CWB under the requirements of CSA-W178.
c)The Proponent must have access to a Professional Engineer registered in the Province of Manitoba to seal all design/shop drawings and the final report (certifying all welds and connections) submitted by the Quality Verification Engineer.
