Description of Procurement
The University is conducting a Request for Proposal (“RFP”) for Summer Operations Laundry Services for Student Housing & Community Care.

The procurement is anticipated to involve negotiation. An electronic auction is not anticipated.

Conditions for Participation
The procurement is subject to the following conditions for participation:

Insurance Requirements

Commercial General Liability Insurance against third party bodily injury (including death), personal injury and broad form property damage (including loss of use) and including products and completed operations liability and blanket contractual liability for an amount of not less than five million dollars ($5,000,000.00) per occurrence. Such insurance shall include a cross liability and severability of interests clause and an endorsement naming Toronto Metropolitan University, its governors, trustees, officers and employees as an Additional Insured;
Standard automobile insurance for all vehicles owned, licensed or leased by the Supplier and non-owned automobile insurance, where required, for an amount of not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000.00), per occurrence for each type of coverage. Where the non-owned automobile insurance coverage is provided within a general liability policy, a separate policy is not required;
Bailee Legal Liability Insurance or Bailee Customers Floater with All Risks coverage for the amount of not less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00), per occurrence

WSIB

Valid WSIB Clearance Certificate or alternatively Private Employers Liability in the amount of $2,000,000.00.

The Ontario-Quebec Trade and Cooperation Agreement, Chapter 9

Contract Details
The term of the Final Agreement is 3 years, plus two optional renewal periods of 1 year each, in the discretion of Toronto Metropolitan University.

The University will base its selection of qualified suppliers on the following criteria:

To gain a better understanding of the existing site conditions and constraints, all Proponents are requested to attend the recommended site tour, scheduled for the following date:
● June 6, 2023, at 10:00:00 AM to 11:00:00 AM EDT.
Site Visit Registration date: On or before Monday June 5, 2023, at 4 PM
To register for Site Visit, please email bids@ryerson.ca by referencing the RFP and including the name and email address of the individual(s) attending.
For clarity, registration is not required to attend the Site Visit; however, it does assist us in our planning.
Proponents shall convene at the Lobby of 160 Mutual Street, Toronto, M5B 2M2 (PIT Bldg.) in order to sign in with the TMU Procurement Representative.
